I'm lucky to have the opportunity to work with some amazing people at StorSimple. One of them is a gentleman by the name of Burzin Patel, who is our architect focusing on solutions for Microsoft SharePoint. He's a champion of EBS, RBS, and disaster recovery/high availability designs and implementation, and has the credentials to do so confidently, having spent 9 years at Microsoft in many roles including program management.
Anyway, as much praise as he deserves, that's not the point of my post. The point is that Burzin's son has had just as much impact as Burzin has. Since Burzin has had a tremendous amount of impact, you can infer that his son Carl has as well.
You're probably wondering "how in the heck can his son have had as much impact"? Truth be told, his artwork - masterfully colored and authenticated through his autograph - has made it to the center stage of every single SharePoint demo that we give with our product. And our customers absolutely love it. The beloved character from Winnie the Pooh has somehow wiggled his way into being part of a demonstration of an extremely powerful cloud storage solution.
And each time we use it, we owe Carl a shiny new nickel. With as many customer demonstrations as we've been giving, I think it's safe to assume that, with compound interest, these nickels may very well subsidize Carl's college tuition.
Carl - thanks for allowing us to use your artwork!
